Year 4 – Mrs Howson

A big, warm welcome to everyone in Year 4! We are so pleased to be back together as a class family and have been enjoying reconnecting with each other, our school and our learning.

Our topic for this term is ‘Freedom’ and we are all very excited to see where this topic will take us! There will be lots of cooking, marvellous adventures in the Immersive Suite and mindfulness sessions where our mind is free to roam imaginary places.

A few housekeeping reminders:

Reading – Books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays if a new book is needed. Please remember that we expect children to read with an adult at home 5 times a week.

Spellings – Spellings will be sent home weekly in your child’s Reading Record, with an in school test to follow on Fridays. Keep practising!

Times Tables – Don’t forget Times Table Rock Stars! Children should know their times tables up to 12 at the end of Year 4.

Cooking – Every second Tuesday we are cooking. Please make sure you send 50p in with your child so they can take their food home.

What a rollercoaster 2020 has been so far…! In true Morecambe Bay style, we will approach this new academic year with resilience, compassion and team-work. Let’s rock!!!
