In science we have been learning about the different kinds of teeth and their functions.

We have also been learning about the importance of cleaning our teeth correctly.

We did a quick experiment to see how much plaque is on our teeth.

First we had to clean our teeth with toothpaste the best we could.

Then we sucked a disclosing tablet. This changed the colour of our teeth. If it was blue it was new plaque. If it was pink it was plaque that had been there several hours/days.

Then we had to brush our teeth again to try and ensure they were nice and sparkly clean.

We soon came to realise that even after brushing our teeth the best we could we may need to improve our technique and how long we brush our teeth for.
