This first week back we have been taking an in depth look into the artist Rousseau. He specialised in jungle paintings, despite never having been to the jungle himself. We have looked into techniques he used and inspiration he took from his surroundings to make our own Rousseau inspired jungle paintings. We have sketched still life as well as observational drawings outside. We have used an array of techniques looking at composition, background, foreground and texture. The children have all worked really hard and some of the results were fantastic!
